Angry River by Rajnish Mishra

 Angry River

My river is angry today.
Call it restless.
Its foaming, rolling waves
make swishing sounds.
Its former flow has changed,
with broken bounds,
my river stays the same, or little less.
The Ganges, swollen, broad,
it still is called,
yet it's not the same, in its own ways,
and what we see, is a river new.
And thus will it go on, a month or two.
