Come Back by Jane Ayers Sweat

Come Back Come to me in springtime On the wings of a butterfly Let the flutter of its wings Dry the tears I cry. Come to me in summer On healing rays of Sun Warm the cold within Until my day is done. Come to me in fall On the chilly air Whisper in the breeze To my silent prayer. Come to me in winter On a fragile snowflake Lay gently on my cheek To ease this lonely ache. Come to me as I lay dying On the last beat of my heart Take my Soul to Eternity Where we never will part.

How Easy Is It by Sir

How Easy Is It How easy Is it for you to move on How easy is it to push me along How easy is it for you to find comfort in anothers embrace How easy is it for you to entertain another face Do you still even think of me throughout the day Or am I just something dragging you down and getting in your way Not knowing what I still mean to you has me lost in my head Just want to know I'm not someone you regretted having in your bed

You Opened My Heart by Sir

Almost 6 months is all it has been since you came into my life You opened my heart and showed me love You saved me from a throbbing pain that cut like a knife You were my angel sent from above You showed me passion and a love with no end You showed me trust and family You showed me just how much I could take how far I could bend Never believed there was something like this out there waiting for me Even without you by my side you still help me grow You inspire me to be the best I can be Your love is something people dream they can know You give me courage to face this vast sea The power I see when I look into your eyes The drive and ambition I see within your soul The little things you do for me I have no need to tell you lies I wouldn't risk losing someone who makes me whole

The Invisible Spirit by Ahmad Al-Khatat

The Invisible Spirit Ahmad Al-Khatat The night is long, long as  the stars are falling apart  and so my tears are the  rain on the child cheeks I thought that love would  make us lucky, and happy  until I realized that one of us must pretend that I'm dead Trust was the most beautiful  word we have had in our talks  sadly, it was replaced with a  betrayal and dangerous faith The invisible spirit forgot to  teach me how to die without  weapon, nor a case of twelve  beers, yet the night is still long

Landscape of Youth by Christine Tabaka

Image
Landscape of Youth When was the last time you laid with me upon a hillside green? Staring up at blue sky, holding hands, weaving dreams, as the whole world melts away. With winter behind us, spring is within reach. It is once more time to awaken sleeping passions. Bare feet and sun kissed faces, enjoying the warmth of each other. Soft fragrant grass. Birds’ mellifluous chants. The reverie comes alive, as we share moments of bliss. Days of youth relived. Regrets filed safely away. The hillside stretches before us, beckoning once more. Ann Christine Tabaka was nominated for the 2017 Pushcart Prize in Poetry, has been internationally published, and won poetry awards from numerous publications. She lives in Delaware, USA.  She loves gardening and cooking.  Chris lives with her husband and two cats. Her most recent credits are: Ethos Literary Journal, North of Oxford, Pomona Valley Review, Page & Spine, West Texas Literary Re

Words That Whisper by Sir-2019

Words that whisper me to sleep every single night Wishing I could be a friend, to hold you tight   You speak the words you could probably care less anyway What you don't realize is I'd put the conflict aside and be there for you any day There's nothing you can do, there's nothing you can say This heart is one that's just impossible to push away I'll come back and be there for you every single time Remember you're the one who reminded me how to rhyme You gave me something that no one can replace The only thing I wish I could do in return, is put a smile on your face Sir~2019
