wind in trees
leaves dance to
a grand ballet
 
august ocean
warm current caresses
like liquid silk

Ann Christine Tabaka was born and lives in Delaware.  She is a published poet, an artist, a chemist, and a personal trainer.  She loves gardening, cooking, and the ocean.  Chris lives with her husband and two cats.  Her poems have been published in numerous national and international poetry journals, reviews, and anthologies. Chris has been selected as the resident Haiku poet for Stanzaic Stylings.

Gently in Nature I wish today's sunlight could last forever. Our sky a blue that can't be defined by a crayon's name. Neither can the amber of your hair - They're both found gently in nature. We witness the park's afternoon together, but details will shift in time's shaky embrace. Grounded Angel By Desiree Cady The devil appeared Such an evil, dark one Told me his plan By the end I knew I was done. I had met a force Sure to break me down In a pool of my own blood I was sure to drown. He said, " You can't be this innocent, You can't be this sweet. I will deny you of your wings And you can join me below in my hellish heat." He proceeded to attack, Stripped me of my wings.. But I sensed God was present So I didn't feel a thing. He thought he had won As he took my weapons of flight But I fooled him..for even a broken winged angel Can still stand up and fight.
